WEEDOBLAND HURRICANE RELIEF
WEST CENTER, HYPOTHETICA, 5 April 2006—As relief efforts continue in much of Weedobland, the Western state of Hypothetica, local agencies are vigilant and progressive in their recovery.
Despite recent reports of refugees relocating to other neighboring states, all known victims of Hurricane Rico Suave have relocated to either large ranches or temporary shelters set up in West Center. Local schools, churches, and recreation centers have opened their doors and arms to embrace those dislocated by the storm. Weedobland is deeply saddened by the misinformation that has been presented about our citizens relocating, as this is simply not the case. It also pains us to announce that relief efforts from the other states have not come to aid Weedobland in a timely manner, since the storm struck several days ago.
Regardless of the lack of support, Weedobland’s residents are strong-willed and motivated to rebuild this proud state back to its original glory. It is times like this when a state’s true colors show, and we are very proud of how our citizens have taken the initiative and started to restore damaged communities.
As rebuilding continues, please note that tourism and basic facilities and services are being restored as quickly as possible. Service in and out of the Weedobland International Airport has resumed and certain airlines are offering discounted airfare for displaced residents and their families.
The residents of Weedobland would like to express gratitude and thanks for those who have kept us in their prayers and supported our relief and recovery efforts.
